Help celebrates World Children’s Day at Ansari Vocational and Technical Training Center

 

20th of November is known as World Children’s Day. This day is celebrated all over the world and recently it has also been celebrated in Afghanistan.

In a ceremony held to celebrate this day with children and their family members at Ansari Vocational and Technical Training Center, Representatives of UNICEF, World Vision, Association for Humanitarian and Development of Afghanistan) AHDA), officials and staff of Help in Afghanistan, officials, staff, and trainers of Ansari VTC, and the families of the children were present.

Mohammad Ali Soroosh, Country director of Help Afghanistan, while congratulating the World Children’s Day, spoke about the effectiveness of child protection programs and Vocational training programs for vulnerable children in society.

Mr. Soroosh further emphasized providing more support to this vulnerable group of society and called for the provision of education for working children.

Then, two trainees of Ansari center talked about the effectiveness of Vocational courses and talked about the positive changes that have taken place in their economic and social life.

Subsequently, theater programs and entertainment games were performed by children.

Help has received a project from UNICEF and the headquarters of Help in Bonn, Germany. The mentioned Project Title is: “Reintegration of Highly Vulnerable Children (Including Street Working Children, Internally Displaced Children, Unaccompanied Cross Border Children, and Children applying to join the Police force) for 2,300 People in Herat, Badghis, Ghor and Farah provinces by Providing Vocational Training and Vocational Facilities” which is applicable for 24 months from October 14th, 2019 to October 13th, 2021
