Help distributes Coats to more than 600 working children on World Children’s day

In series of Help’s Child protection programs in Herat province, 618 children benefited from its donations on Wolrd Children’s Day.

In addition to distributing these donation packages, World Children’s Day was also celebrated with these children.

It is worth mentioning that these children were identified doing hard works in 25 kilns of Injil district villages of Herat province after a survey by social workers of Help.

These children also participated in awareness sessions on “Child protection and their rights as well as encouragement to go to School” held by Help.

The distribution of these Coats made the children happy because, according to them, this is a valuable gift they have received in the upcoming cold season.

Help in Afghanistan has launched a project from the United Nations International Children Fund (UNICEF) entitled “Supporting Vulnerable Children by Providing Humanitarian Child Protection Services in Herat, Ghor, and Farah Provinces through Media Awareness, Psycho-social Counseling to the children, their families, religious leaders and society against violence, abuse, exploitation, and negative dealing mechanisms.” This project is scheduled to be implemented during the next 10 months from June 21, 2020, to April 21, 2021, the main purpose of which is to protect children against neglecting, abusing, mistreatment as well as child care and its side effects.
