Help Graduates 193 TVET Trainees and Holds Graduation and Toolkits Distribution Ceremony:

The graduation ceremony of 193 trainees of Ansari VTC was organized by Help and in cooperation with Department of Labor and Social Affairs of Herat at the end of Dec. 2019.

Government authorities including representatives of Department of Labor and Social Affairs, Head of WFP office for western zone, officials and employees of Help and Help’s partners NGOs and associations including OSAA and WESA, private sector, unions, TVET staff and trainers, TVET graduates, and media attended the ceremony.

The ceremony was organized to celebrate graduation of 193 trainees – 147 females and 46 males – who completed 8 months long vocational courses provided by Help. The courses which were selected based on the findings of the annual market study conducted by Help and its local partner NGO – OSAA – included carpet weaving, advanced tailoring and beauty parlor for women and house wiring and industrial electricity for men.

The graduation ceremony began with recitation of Holy Quran and national anthem. Then Help program manager, Head of WFP office for western zone, two graduates and

Deputy Head of Herat DoLSA talked about Technical and Vocational Education and Training programs, and employment services of Help organization.

At the end of this ceremony, tool-kits which were prepared by Help were distributed to graduates so that they can start their own small businesses. The TVET graduates were pleased and satisfied of learning a vocation and expressed their gratitude to Help organization and other partner organizations offering such effective programs for the youth.
