Help Holds Proposal Writing Training to OSAA & WESA

The capacity-building training sessions on “Proposal Writing Training” was organized for 8 staff of Organization for Sustainable Aid in Afghanistan / OSAA and Women Empowerment and Social Association / WESA, Help’s local partners in Herat Afghanistan. A three half-day training took place at Help main office from Tuesday, 19 January to Thursday, 21 January 2021. Sohrab Faizy Help’s master trainer gave the opening remarks encouraging the participants to take the training seriously with the aims of enhancing their knowledge and skills on how to design projects and develop concept notes and proposals.

 

 

 

The objectives of the training were:

  • Differentiate between project and program;
  • Comprehend project management and discuss project cycle;
  • Understand situation analysis process in project management;
  • Distinguish between concept note and proposals;
  • Develop proposal and discuss proposal writing steps;
  • Draft proposal components;
  • Understand donor requirements;

At the beginning of the training, a pre-test was taken from participants to identify the capacity and level of knowledge of the participants regarding proposal writing and at the end, a post-test was conducted to assess the skills, knowledge, and understanding the result of the training. 

Also at the end of the training evaluation form /evaluation questionnaire was distributed for participants to evaluate the training results, its success amongst the participants as well as get their suggestions/recommendations for the next training program

 

 

 

Overall the training was evaluated positive both by the trainer and participants.
