Help launches the first research and consultation meeting on “labor market demand and effective vocations” in Badghis province

The first research and consultation meeting was held in Badghis province to assess the issue, “labor market demand and effective and needed vocations of the society” on Sunday, December 13, 2020.

In this meeting representative from different government and non-government departments attended, including representatives from the Department of Labor and Social Affairs, the head of Economy Department, the Craftsmen’s Union, Department of Women’s Affairs, head of the Women’s Trade Center as well as representatives of partner offices, specialists and trainers of different vocations.

The participants in this meeting talked about vocational training and marketable vocations in Badghis province and emphasized the expansion of vocational training activities in this province.

The expected and necessary results of this meeting regarding the vocations that have the most labor market and the level of society’s need for them are higher both for men and women have been achieved.

Currently, 150 beneficiaries, 90 of whom are men and 60 women, are busy learning House wiring, home appliances repair, and advanced tailoring. These people were selected after a survey by the social workers of Help in that province.

Help has received a project from UNICEF and the headquarters of the German Help in Bonn, Germany. The mentioned Project Title is: “Reintegration of Highly Vulnerable Children (Including Street Working Children, Internally Displaced Children, Unaccompanied Cross Border Children, and Children applying to join the Police force) for 2,300 People in Herat, Badghis, Ghor and Farah provinces by Providing Vocational Training and Vocational Facilities” which is applicable for 24 months from October 14th, 2019 to October 13th, 2021
