Stakeholders Meeting on Joint UNICEF-Help Project for Most Deprived Children (MDC) in west region of Afghanistan

Help International German Organization in close cooperation with Department of Labor and Social Affairs (DoLSA) of Herat Province organized stakeholders meeting on joint UNICEF-Help project for most deprived street working children. The purpose of the meeting was to get view points, recommendations and to create synergy and cooperation for the effective implementation of the project. The meeting was attended by 45 persons including representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations, international organizations, private sector, associations, civil society, academia, Community Development Councils / CDCs and District Development Councils / DDCs.

The project which will support 2,300 individuals – most deprived children and their families – through provision of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and job facilitation in the west region of Afghanistan was explained by Help program unit to participants.

Participants shared their view points, recommendations, and experiences on how to effectively support Most Deprived Children / MDCs, made comments and committed to support Help for successful implementation of the project and achievement of the desired project goals.
