Ansari Technical and Vocational Training Center of the Department of Labor and Social Affairs of Herat Province hosted two delegations from the UNICEF office on Wednesday (14 October 2020).

The first delegation, led by Mr. Abubakr, UNICEF Country Director for Afghanistan, visited various sections of the Ansari Vocational Training Center to ensure the effectiveness of the Center’s programs.

During this visit, the beneficiaries were asked how they were selected for these programs and how their life was before being chosen to Ansari Training Center and what changes have taken place in their lives.

Mr. Mohammad Ali Soroosh, Program manager of Help for Afghanistan, while appreciating the presence of Mr. Abubakr and Mr. William at the Ansari Center, gave a brief overview of the activities of Help in the field of Vocational and Technical courses for both delegations.

Also on the same day, Mr. William, child protection project manager for UNICEF Afghanistan, visited Ansari Vocational Training Center and asked beneficiaries about the positive changes that have been taken place in their lives since the training began.

It is worth mentioning that all the beneficiaries of the Ansari Center are satisfied with the creation of such a situation in which they can learn the vocation and want such programs to continue.

At the end of the meeting, both delegations expressed their satisfaction with the activities being carried out by Help at Ansari Technical and Vocational Training Center and emphasized on giving more motivation to the beneficiaries to learn and make a difference in their lives.

To be noted that Help has received a project from UNICEF and the headquarters of the German Help in Bonn, Germany. The mentioned Project Title is: “Reintegration of Highly Vulnerable Children (Including Street Working Children, Internally Displaced Children, Unaccompanied Cross Border Children, and Children applying to join the Police force) for 2,300 People in Herat, Badghis, Ghor and Farah provinces by Providing Vocational Training and Vocational Facilities” which is applicable for 24 months from October 14th, 2019 to October 13th, 2021
