Graduation Ceremony of 220 Beneficiaries of Help TVET in 2017

In the second round of TVET graduation in Ansari VTC, 220 of beneficiaries (60 male and 160 female) graduated after six months of vocational trainings in carpet weaving, cooking and dairy production, advanced tailoring, bag making, handicrafts, MDF and industrial electricity, in 2017.

In a ceremony organized on December 11, 2017 in Ansari VTC for the graduates of vocational trainings, a number of authorities including Mr. Afghan, the Head of Herat DoLSA, Head of Skills Development Unit of DoLSA, officials and employees of Help INGO, OSAA NGO Director, Neswan Association Director, Head of ANAB, Tolo Dorokhshan Employment Center Director, Agriculture Institute Director, Herat Labor Union Director, WFP Western Zone Director, Directors of Help partner companies, elders of surrounding neighborhood, Ansari VTC management team, 220 of graduates, trainers of Ansari VTC, media and current beneficiaries of Ansari VTC classes were present.

At this ceremony, Mr. Zabihullah Monib Taheri, Help INGO Country Director, having praised the efforts of the beneficiaries in successful completion of training, expressed that the graduates of Help TVET (Technical Vocational Educational Trainings) have become experienced and skilled individuals. He emphasized TVET as the main project of Help INGO being implemented in Herat and Bamyan provinces and so far many beneficiaries and trainers have benefited from this project.

Following that, Mr. Tawab Hossaini, OSAA Employment Services Center manager, explained employment activities and services of the center to the audience.

In addition, Abdul Qayoum Afghan, Head of Herat DoLSA, described the role of Help TVET projects in improving the skills and working capacity among young people and their positive impact on the lives of people in Herat. Mr. Afghan appreciated efforts of Help staff and trainers in providing TVET for the second round graduates of Ansari VTC in 2017.

A number of graduates from TVET have also expressed their satisfaction with the TVET training, emphasizing that by completion of this training course they can now create work opportunities for themselves and their families.

At the end of this ceremony, the toolkits which were prepared by Help reintegration team were distributed to graduates by guests, TVET team, ESC team and trainers of Ansari VTC.

Out of all two rounds of graduates of TVET in 2017, 334 were female and 223 were male, in total 557. They all participated in different vocations of Help TVET programs in Herat province.

At the moment, 259 trainees are receiving training in various vocations in Ansari VTC which is run by Help INGO in Herat province.
