In continuation of Help cooperation with Herat DoLSA, a 4-month management training was organized for 15 civil servants of this Dept. by Help. The training was offered on Saturday and Sundays from 1:30 to 4:00 PM. It started on 30 Dec. 2017 and finished on 30 April 2018. The training consisted of: basics of management, communication management, control management, monitoring and evaluation, inspection, letter writing and report writing. In this round of training, new training methods were used like: slide show, group work, brain storming, individual works, and other useful methods.

At the beginning of the course, 15 staff were introduced to participate in the class. As time passed, the number of participants dropped to 10. The fourth month training got over after an exam was given about all the topics discussed and an evaluation conducted from trainer on her manner of behavior and teaching methods in the class.

Participants appreciated Help for organizing these trainings. They said that the trainings not only develop the capacity of the participants, but also bring positive changes in the offices of the participants. They asked for continuation of these programs so that capacity building is ensured for staff of Depts.

Certificates were distributed to graduates of this class by DoLSA and Help during graduation ceremony. Also the management trainer was appreciated by awarding an appreciation letter. Representatives of Herat DoLSA, Governor’s HR Directorate, Help INGO, OSAA, and graduates participated in this ceremony.
