On the occasion of the first graduation ceremony of trainees from basic theater course, a ceremony was held by Herat Theater Unit at the theater saloon today.

Theatre course lasted 8 months in the theater saloon and 18 males and 8 females attended and successfully completed the course. The trainees were trained by professional theatre actors and actresses of Herat.

Mr. Zarqam, Head of Art Unit-Herat Information and Culture Department, Dr. Mahdi Hadid and Mrs. Taheri, Representatives of Herat Provincial Council, Mr. Khalil Parsa, Head of CSOs Network in Herat, Mr. Soroosh, Help Capacity Building Program Director and some of Help staff, and many artists and cultural personalities attended the ceremony.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Qasem Abdullahi, team leader of Help Media and Culture Unit explained the objectives and activities of Help Capacity Building Program in the field of media and culture.

Mr. Zarqam and Mr. Fakori presented some statements on the importance and the necessity of supporting theater.

Two live shows were presented by theater graduates which were warmly welcomed by the spectators.

At the end of the ceremony all theater graduates were awarded graduation certificates and the personalities who actively supported and worked for the revival of live theatre shows and Herat Theatre Unit in general were appreciated.

It is worth mentioning that Help Organization supported and equipped Herat Theater Unit building, theater saloon and conducted theater training course in 2014.
