Help with the Support of UNICEF and Help Headquarter Funding Starts a Project to Train 2300 Most Deprived Children (MDC) for the Next Two Years:

This is a joint Help-UNICEF project for a period of 24 months covering 2300 most deprived children including street working children, unaccompanied deported children, IDPs and returnees’ children, and children applying for police positions. One of the bread-winner of these children is accepted into TVET program.   The project will be implemented in Herat (city and some 8 districts) with 1,650 beneficiaries, Badghis with 250 beneficiaries, Ghor with 250 beneficiaries and Farah province with 150 beneficiaries.

Registration Process of New Beneficiaries

Project started on 14 Oct. 2019. Help TVET unit assessed the capacity of Ansari VTC in Herat, identified and selected the vocational courses from last annual market study findings for male and female beneficiaries for the first round of training in 2020 in Herat city and districts, and based on that met the DoLSA Director and discussed relevant issues. The unit also hosted UNICEF delegation comprising of two child specialists from Kabul who came to visit Ansari VTC to get a direct view of how vocational courses are organized.
