Help INGO celebrated graduation of its TVET project trainees from computer repair, home appliances repair, suit sewing and food process vocations. Sectorial Services Directorate of Governor Office, DoLSA, DoEco., Women Affairs Department, Breshna Department, Telecommunications and Technology Department, Department of Refugees and Repatriations (DoRR), UNHCR and the market guilds participated in this event.
The ceremony, organized to distribute tool-kits to the graduates of TVET project, started with recitation of holy Quran by one of the graduates. Then, Mr. Mohammad Edris Sharify, Help Provincial Director in Bamyan, introduced Help TVET project to the audience and added: Help started computer repair, home appliances repair, suit sewing and food process vocations for 100 eligible beneficiaries who included returnees, IDPs and other destitute individuals of the community in December 2017 and today we see the graduation and toolkit distribution for 90 graduates (52 women & 38 men).
10 trainees – 7 men & 3 women – dropped out the training due to finding jobs or other personal problems and they could not continue the training to the end. Help PD in Bamyan while appreciating other partner organizations added that in this round of training two working groups were formed under supervision of Employment Services Center and seven women are in these two working groups. These two working groups received their tool-kits collectively – in group – and the rest received their tool-kits individually.
Then, Mr. Nasrullah Nawid, the Sectorial Services Directorate representative of Governor’s Office, Mr. Ashraf Niazi, Director of UNHCR in Bamyan and Abdul Latif, one of the graduates of computer repair class, talked on the subject in this ceremony.
The speakers while appreciating Help INGO activities in TVET and job creation in Bamyan province, discussed on the importance and necessity of TVET programs in the community and emphasized on continuation of such activities.
Mr. Nawid, the Sectorial Services Directorate representative of Governor’s Office, promised that the local administration of Bamyan is ready to cooperate with the graduates of TVET program.
At the end, the ceremony finished with the distribution of tool-kits. All graduates received their tool-kits from TVET unit of Help INGO.
