The 10th Round Graduation Ceremony of Civil Servants from Herat IARCSC Training Center

The 10th round graduation ceremony of Herat Civil Servants – Capacity Building Program was held in Qazi Amanullah Khan Hall-Herat Provincial Complex yesterday.

Asiluddin Jami, Herat Governor’s Deputy, Ab. Rahman Rasekh, General Director of Afghanistan Provinces’ Administrative Reforms Commission, Ghulam Farooq Qatea, National Coordinator of Civil Services Institute, Mohammad Asif Mobaleq, Bamyan Deputy Governor, Moh. Ali Najafi, Head of Bamyan Sectorial Services, Heads of Herat different depts. and Help NGO officials attended the ceremony.

  1. Ali Soroosh, Help CB Program Director meanwhile welcoming the audience and congratulating the graduates said: “124 staff from 32 Herat govt. departments received training in period (26 Jan 2013 to 8 July 2013) out of that 109 employees from 29 governmental departments succeeded to receive certificate.

Project Cycle Management, Computer and English were taught in the training period.

Ab Rahman Rasekh, General Director of Afghanistan Provinces’ Administrative Reforms Commission evaluated the reform approach in civil service departments positively and said: 297,000 Civil Services staff were reformed. He also warmly thanked Help INGO for its successful implementation of capacity building program in Herat province.

Abdul Salam Salam, Head of Herat IARCSC added, “Nearly 1000 civil servants have been trained from which 30% are women so far.”

Asiluddin Jami, Governor’s Deputy called IARCSC training programs positive and added, changing current governance system is possible if we pay a close attention to capacity building of the govt. staff. He also appreciated Help for its cooperation in capacity building of Herat civil servants.

At the end of the ceremony besides distributing the certificates and gifts, Herat Governor’s office awarded Help an appreciation letter for its effective and fruitful role in capacity building of Herat civil servants.

Herat Civil Servants Capacity Building Training Center is run by Help from Germany by cooperation of Herat IARCSC.

It is worth mentioning that right after the graduation ceremony of the 10th round of the graduates, the 11th round started.
