The 4th annual book fair was opened next to Department of Information and Culture located in Cinema Chowk in Herat on Monday 26, October 2015.
The book fair was organized to promote the culture of reading and to increase reading level per capita in Herat.
Mr. Rahimi, Herat’s governor, Mr. Raufian Head of Herat DIC and many cultural activists attended the ceremony.
In this book fair many books with various subjects were exhibited in 29 booths. These subjects were included education, science, history, politics, religion, art and etc.
The book fair was greatly welcomed by many people in Herat including students and cultural activists. Many have visited the book fair and bought books.
The book fair was open to public from 8 am to 5 pm and continued for 10 days.
This book fair was conducted with the financial and technical support of Help organization to fulfilling the cultural goals of its capacity building program.
