The opening of the fifth domestic product fair in Herat province, “Lazuli Route Caravan”

The National Security Advisor Hamdullah Moheb, Narges Nahan, Acting Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Mines, Abdul Ghayum Rahimi, the governor of Herat province, heads of industrial companies, national merchants and the media participated in the opening ceremony of the domestic product fair.

Hamdullah Moheb, National Security Advisor said that the participation in the opening of the exhibition and its visit to Herat has made it possible to get aware of the problems of the investors. He added that he listened the problems of the industrialists and he will try his best to improve the security and economic conditions.

Aims of the Lazuli Route Exhibition are:

  • Marketing for domestic products
  • Supporting industrialists
  • Support domestic production
  • People Familiarity with domestic products
  • Promotion of business and industry
  • Promoting the use of domestic products

The exhibition featured 180 booths from Herat, Kabul, Kandahar and Mazar-e-Sharif products, with 50 booths dedicated to women and their handicraft productions. A booth is allocated at the fair for Help and its working partners (Herat Department of Labor and Social Affairs, Organization for Sustainable Aid in Afghanistan – OSAA, Women’s Empowerment and Social Association – WESA, the Women’s Association, the National Association of the Blind and Organization for Better Tomorrow in Afghanistan “OBTA” to introduce their vocational activities. The Help booth is full of the products of the trained vocations, such as handicrafts, carpets, bags and shoes, fur products and other products of the vocational training courses. Help, along with OSAA, has made connection with all the booths to inform employers from vocational training and graduates, in order to strengthen the bridge between employers and jobseekers.

The exhibition is for 6 days and the main will of industrialists is to create a healthy competitive environment to develop and promote their productions.
